Tonight 7pm Special BOS meeting on Zoning changes

Tomorrow at 7pm on comcast channel 22, fios channel 20 and LMTs facebook page the BOS will vote to advertise a new zoning ordinance written by a developer, for a developer to put money in the developer’s pocket at our expense.  The zoning change is a bonus to the developer, but the developer isn’t satisfied with that, they want more bonuses for goals they know they can meet. All these bonuses add up to more density and more types of development they can put on the site than any of our current zoning allows.  It’s not a question of if the area will look like King of Prussia but how fast it will take.  The BOS and the developers want to make this all about Wegmans but what it really is about is Big Box Retail, Fast Food Restaurants and 25% more apartments per acre then our zoning allows.   At last week’s special meeting there wasn’t any push back on the developer by the BOS and I do not expect any tomorrow unless the public speaks out.  Please call into the meeting and tell the BOS you do not want LMT to become KOP.  Comment on facebook the BOS read the posts.

Here are some of this BOS highlights:

65% increase in sewer rates over the last 2 years in order to sell the sewer system

The BOS already rezoned land for Deluca giving them a 500% increase in the housing density.

The BOS stacked the Planning board right before the Wegmans hearing with two new members they knew would vote for the zoning change

Dan and Fred pledged during their campaign not to rezone, they have broken that pledge

First, they limited public comment to 3 minutes then they moved public comment to the end of the meeting

BOS Meeting Tonight at 7pm

Tonight 7pm Comcast 22 or LMT Facebook page, the Supervisors start the process of approving 5 bar/restaurants, a big box store and @300 apartments on @ 37 acres on township line road. I was asked if there is anything people can do.   Even though the supervisors have come out in favor of this development, it's still worth calling into the meeting. If enough people do, there is a chance to change their minds.

The zoning changes also include drive-through restaurants, so the area could become home to McDonald's, Burger King etc. Perfect spot for them.

This density is on 37 acres. And there is another @ 300 acres in that area including Torbert Farm. I can see our area becoming king of Prussia's new town center development. The current board has rezoned multiple tracts of land in LMT.
