As a registered Republican and a University of Virginia graduate, Confederate memorials are an important issue to me. Our friend, Republican Governor Youngkin of Virginia, is quoted saying that the Confederate property tax exemption is, "ripe for reform, delineated by inconsistencies and discrepancies." And that the bills would set "an inappropriate precedent" that he could not support. This is a measure that we can help him support.
